Visit to Hohepa

The journey south has started!

On my way to Bluff I stopped in at Christchurch and visited the Hohepa Canterbury campus, where Tone lives and where the boardwalk will be built. I had the pleasure of meeting Amelia Davis, who coordinates all fundraising for Hohepa Canterbury. She showed me around the campus and various rooms set up for specific activities such as massage, hydrotherapy, eurythmy, and art therapy.

She also showed me where the boardwalk will be built and explained that once there, it will be the main entrance to the campus. At the moment, the main entrance is a slim path alongslide a driveway and parked cars – not ideal for people in wheelchairs or using walking frames. The new pathway, whilst being a lovely spot to walk along or sit at, will also provide a safer way to enter the campus.

I was delighted to be able to drop in and see exactly what the funds raised will help to do. Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed to the cause!
